Recently London Heathrow Airport asked me to host a number of iPad art classes for passengers in their terminals. I was delighted to be invited to Heathrow and here are five videos recording some of the pictures drawn during this time.
”What I find so fantastic about the iPad is the immediacy and mobility that it enables; no need for paints, water, canvas or an easel! I love how I can work on my iPad art in my local park, in a cafe in Italy or at Heathrow Airport before boarding a flight”.
This picture was painted over a few hours. The video recording shows the changes in location over time. An outline of a taxiing aircraft is painted into the foreground and then later painted over with another aircraft which has just parked at the stand. As I’m responding to what I’m looking at the changing light from afternoon to early evening can be seen during the process of painting. This is an glimpse into the life of T4 at Heathrow airport during the time I was there.
